Great depression

My life is a distant ongoing circle which hasn't reached it's prime. Most of the time, I think about nothing and my emotions don't betray me like they used to. I'm learning to catch up with them. I remember the old person of me; a stranger to my own being, a stranger to my own culture. Life wasn't at standstill but my life was an unending trance. I tried relentlessly to understand the chaos within, the confusion, the late night gruesome restlessness burning within the walls of my soul and the storms that was alloyed with bouts of grief and depression. Several nights on my bed, I laid lifeless like the dry, withered  autumn leaves falling without hope. They were nights of no bliss, void of peace, of courage to fight back, of strength. In the absence of joy, my sorrow festered till I was consumed and buried in it.
Death tarried not. It came in the dead of the cold, horrid night to reap the reward of my actions.

Now here I am again crying myself to sleep. Sometimes, my eyes gaze upon these constellations as they dissolve into the dawn sky. My eyes are swollen from crying too much and my heart is drowning in a pool of pain. I don’t know how I feel. If I do, I can’t describe it. Why do I feel this way?
